I practice from a psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy, which is the prototypical psychotherapy that most other therapies were fashioned out of. Contrary to belief, this therapy can achieve results quickly in conjunction with most of the commonly diagnosed mental disturbances already enumerated above. Psychodynamic therapy rests on the premise that by gaining insight into one’s emotional disturbances, symptoms can then be eased. Most symptoms, which are caused by emotional and relational tensions and conflicts, are typically out of our conscious awareness.
